Fifty children in our community are one step closer to having a bed of their own, thanks to a weekend of teamwork, generosity, and a shared commitment to giving back.

A-Team members, family, friends, and community partners came together at ADB's headquarters in Pacific, Missouri, for our fourth bed build with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring no child has to sleep on the floor.

With a goal of building 50 beds, volunteers spent Friday afternoon and Saturday morning transforming lumber into something much more meaningful: a safe, comfortable place for children in need to sleep.

A Partnership Built Around Community

Sleep in Heavenly Peace operates on a simple but powerful mission: NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®

Through local chapters nationwide, the organization builds and delivers beds to children who might otherwise be sleeping on floors, couches, or other inadequate sleeping arrangements.

It's a mission ADB is proud to support. Now in our fourth bed build together, this partnership continues to provide A-Team members and community partners with an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the communities where we live and work.

50 Beds. One Incredible Community Effort.

This year's impact began long before the first piece of lumber was cut.

ADB set an ambitious fundraising goal of $12,500 to support the build. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, partners, and supporters, we raised $15,200, exceeding our goal by $2,700!

With funding secured, it was time to roll up our sleeves.

A-Team members, family, friends, and community volunteers came together over two days to measure, cut, sand, assemble, and prepare 50 beds for children in need.

For Blake Holtorf, Human Resources Generalist and one of the A-Team members who played a major role in organizing the event, seeing everyone come together was one of the most meaningful parts of the weekend.

“It was awesome to see A-Team members work together for such a great cause. We fundraised enough to build 50 beds. Fifty kids who didn't have a bed on Saturday morning had a bed by Saturday night. We rallied up our family and friends, volunteered our Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, and got to work! It shows how much our team values giving back to the community!” Blake Holtorf, Human Resources Generalist

Through Sleep in Heavenly Peace, completed beds are delivered and assembled at no cost to the families served, ensuring the impact of this volunteer effort extends far beyond the build itself.

Thank You to Our Community Partners

Building 50 beds takes more than lumber and tools. It takes a community of people and organizations willing to give their time, resources, and support.

We extend a heartfelt thank-you to the sponsors and community partners who helped make this year's build possible:

Milwaukee • Integris • Excel Orthopedic and Pain Centers • Gerald Home Center LLC • Nu Way • Telvero • Allen Roofing and Siding • Stylemaster • TekOne Solutions • Grainger • Thompson Safety Works • Augusta Winery • Vero Fitness • Color Deck Painting

A special thank-you to volunteers from Grainger and Excel Orthopedic and Pain Centers, who joined our A-Team members, families, and friends to help bring this event to life.

Your generosity and commitment helped turn a shared goal into a meaningful impact for children and families in our community.

Building More Than Beds

Four builds into our partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, ADB's commitment to giving back continues to grow.

What makes events like this special isn't just the number of beds built. It's the people behind them: A-Team members giving their time, families joining the effort, and community partners coming together around a shared purpose.

And we're not stopping here.

ADB's next Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build is already planned for 2027, continuing our commitment to helping more children in our communities have a safe, comfortable place to sleep.
