ADB is pleased to support a major utility partner in advancing its vision for a more intelligent and interconnected energy grid through the Private LTE (PLTE) RF Project. This initiative, part of our partner's comprehensive network modernization strategy, demonstrates the utility’s dedication to developing a robust 900 MHz private LTE network aimed at enhancing grid reliability, improving system visibility, and expediting the transition to a net-zero carbon future by 2050.
This project, conducted from September through October 2025, focused on the construction of a self-support tower from the ground up. ADB’s teams oversaw every phase, from site preparation and grading to drilling three structural piers for a concrete foundation designed to meet specific load requirements. Upon completion of the civil work, ADB’s tower and crane technicians assembled and stacked the tower, integrating their RF materials and installing three fully automated boom gates as part of the site’s security and access system.

The project necessitated seamless collaboration among multiple ADB divisions—including wireless construction, civil, and fiber teams—as well as coordination with several trusted subcontractors. This multidisciplinary approach ensured that each phase of the build adhered to our customer's safety standards and ADB’s commitment to excellence. Additionally, ADB’s fiber infrastructure group successfully completed the fiber installation and backhaul integration, establishing the communications backbone essential for their footprint in private LTE operations.
The initiative by the major utility partner, which commenced with spectrum licensing in 2021, signifies a significant advancement in the utility’s digital transformation journey. By integrating multiple legacy networks into a unified broadband platform, they are strategically positioning themselves to support advanced data-driven applications, distributed energy resource management, and real-time operational control across their service territory.
ADB is proud to collaborate on projects that highlight its role as a reliable partner offering comprehensive infrastructure solutions, encompassing everything from engineering and construction to fiber and wireless integration. Together, we are creating infrastructure that fosters energy innovation and connects communities to a more resilient future.

The work ADB is doing to build PLTE connectivity for utility networks is impressive — reliable communication infrastructure is so critical for modern operations. Reading about these large-scale projects actually reminded me how much I enjoy experimenting with creative tools on the side, like using the Graffiti Generator for quick text-based art projects.
Great read on ADB’s approach to building PLTE infrastructure for utility networks—scaling tower deployments while maintaining reliability is no small feat. It reminds me how important precise planning is in any field, which is why I’ve been using the ArchOne AI visualization tool to streamline design iterations for client presentations.
