On April 12th, the ADB Community united in partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) to support a shared mission: ensuring that no child in our town sleeps on the floor. While SHP is known for building beds for children in need, its vision encompasses much more—empowering lives, fostering community connections, and offering meaningful opportunities for personal growth and service. Every bed constructed stands as a testament to the power of collective action and compassion.
To support this initiative, the ADB Community set a fundraising goal of $12,500 to cover material costs. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we were able to provide all the necessary resources—from lumber and hardware to mattresses and supplies. Of the 77 children currently on SHP’s waiting list, our team was proud to build 50 beds that day. Each bed, costing approximately $250, was built with care, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to helping those in need.
The event was filled with joy, teamwork, and a true spirit of generosity. From start to finish, volunteers gave their time and effort wholeheartedly, creating an atmosphere of collaboration and service.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the dedication of our A-Team members, their families, and our incredible sponsors. We are immensely proud of everyone who contributed to making this day a success. We also extend our sincere thanks to the Eureka Fire Department for stopping by to show their support—it meant a great deal to all involved.
A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors: Allen Roofing & Siding, First Adventure Academy, American House Senior Living Communities, Verlo Mattress, Dickey Bub Farm & Home, Hackman Lumber, Grainger, Boretech, The Quality Coach, Gallagher, Krueger Vending Services, Little Ireland Coffee, Smooth E's, Vermeer, and N-Rec Sport Center.
