ALL IN Week Recap
At ADB, we foster a culture of being ALL IN every day. We believe in being ALL IN in everything we do – from safety and taking care of our partners, to embracing our world-class culture. Being ALL IN is how we will continue to succeed, grow, and create amazing opportunities for our A-Team to grow their careers. ALL IN is nothing new around here, but we thought it was time to dedicate an entire week to celebrate being ALL IN in all aspects of our lives, so we launched our first-ever ALL IN Week from June 6 – 11!
We kicked off the week with our friends from Dale Carnegie coming in to facilitate a high-level ADB Together Diversity & Inclusion Training with our team members. The presentation took place in our Pacific Training Room, but team members could join the conversation virtually from wherever they were in the country. This was an amazing session focused on creating a true culture of inclusion while teaching us ways to be champions of this positive change.
On Wednesday, June 8, we were excited to welcome Dr. John Gaal to speak with our A-Team. Dr. Gaal serves as the Director of Worker Wellness at Missouri AFL-CIO’s Missouri Works Initiative, and he is passionate about mental health. During this interactive session, our people learned insightful information on mental health and suicide prevention while understanding just how important it is to take care of their own mental health and support others that may be struggling. Thanks to Dr. Gaal, ADB Well, and ADB Academy for hosting this amazing session!
June 9 was a big day for ALL IN Week. First, Chad Johnson, CEO of ADB Companies, took the opportunity to present his annual CEO Address and launch the annual ALL IN Rollout! During his address, Chad discussed this year’s successes so far, key areas to focus on, introduced our new leadership, discussed our newly formed cultural committees and their initiatives, and shared other exciting updates. Chad is our ALL IN champion and we are so grateful for his passion for being #ADBALLIN. After his address, team members across the country in St. Louis, Springfield, Cincinnati, and Charlotte celebrated the future with Washers, shuffleboard, and Cornhole Tournaments. It was a great way for our teams to get together for a fun night of food, drinks, future visions, and friendly competition.
To wrap up the week before heading into our ALL IN Week finale celebration, we hosted a trivia contest for our people across the nation. Each hour, a question focused on our cultural pillars and ALL IN knowledge was emailed out and the first team member to answer correctly won that round. We had seven lucky winners and they got to choose from some awesome prizes.
Finally, on Saturday, June 11, we hosted our Annual Safety Fair in St. Louis and the first Safety Fair in San Antonio! Safety Fair is all about our team members and their families, giving us an opportunity to celebrate while we educate our kiddos and share our safety message and culture with friends and family. Our Safety Fair is one of our favorite days of the year and gives guests plenty of opportunities to have a great time while we celebrate sending every team member home safe!
This was an amazing week of celebrating and enhancing our ALL IN culture. We can’t wait for next year!
